Chris and Emma’s stunning autumnal wedding at Field Place Manor House & Barns.

Photographing Chris and Emma’s wedding was so so much fun, I adore an autumn wedding!

The Venue

Field Place Manor House and Barns is a hidden gem right in the middle of Worthing, West Sussex, it has stunning gardens and a little yellow manor house that is perfect for groups or couples photos. They have two barns - one for the ceremony and one for the reception, which means the day runs really smoothly when moving from one to the other.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held in the barn at Field Place, a space that was decorated beautifully with little pumpkins and candles placed either side of the aisle - it was so sweet and really added to the autumnal vibe.

The ceremony itself was heartfelt and personal, with the celebrant telling their friends and family all about how they met and the years following. Chris and Emma exchanged personal vows, which were so lovely to hear. As their photographer, I always try to blend into the background during such moments, allowing the couple to fully experience the emotion of the day, while still capturing those fleeting glances, smiles, and tears that make the ceremony so special.

Groups & Couples Portraits

After the ceremony, we headed outside to take advantage of the stunning gardens at Field Place, we took some confetti photos which are always so much fun - probably one of my favourite parts of any wedding day! Followed by a few group shots with their closest family members and some couples portraits in the gardens and in front of the manor house.

The Reception

As the afternoon unfolded, the reception continued with a meal alongside the speeches. The speeches are another favourite part of my day as it allows me to hear more of your story from your family and friends. After the meal and speeches the barn is transformed into an elegant celebration space, with twinkling fairy lights, candles, and personalised details that truly reflected Chris and Emma’s style. The dance floor is opened up - ready for Chris and Emma’s unforgettable first dance to Set You Free by N-Trance - everyone ran onto the dance floor to join them, it will truly be a moment I won’t forget and as a wedding photographer i’m so glad I captured it.

The rest of the night was filled with laughter, dancing, and plenty of celebration. Emma and Chris’s friends and family were some of the most welcoming and fun people I’ve had the pleasure of photographing, and they sure knew how to party! As the dance floor filled up, I made sure to capture the energy and excitement of the evening.
