As a wedding photographer and filmmaker, I’ve had the privilege of documenting countless special days, but Jodie and Rob's wedding at The Cherry Barn in Sussex was something truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that their day was going to be a riot of color, joy, and unforgettable moments.

The Venue

The Cherry Barn is the epitome of rustic elegance, with its blend of vintage charm and contemporary flair. Nestled in the heart of Sussex, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for Jodie and Rob's wedding. The barn's warm wooden beams and fairy lights looked so good alongside the pink and red streamers, it really fit the vibe of Jodie and Rob and the day as a whole.

Digital & Film Photography

Jodie and Rob decided to have the 35mm add on included in their package which i always love. Film photography has a special place in my heart as it was how I started taking photos when I began studying. The colours, grain and vibrancy are everything, and was a perfect addition to Jodie and Robs gallery, adding a touch of nostalgia.

The Ceremony

The ceremony itself was a heartfelt blend of traditional and personal touches, their celebrant was absolutely amazing and had everyone howling with laughter. Jodie and Rob exchanged vows under a beautifully decorated arch, surrounded by friends and family and even finished off the vows by actually tying a knot!

The Reception

As the ceremony concluded, the celebration transitioned seamlessly into the reception. The barn came alive with laughter, and dancing. The evening was punctuated by lively speeches, a delicious feast, and a dance floor that stayed packed late into the night. In the evening their families changed into traditional outfits and entered the dance floor dancing whilst confetti canons went off - it was so much fun and a great way to start the evening full of dancing.
